Our Initiatives

Waste

  • Digital registration is used on arrival and seamless digital check-out is provided on departure.

  • We have reduced paper collaterals in all our rooms, and moved towards QR code usage for our hotel directory, menus, including spa information.

  • Amenity bags used in all the rooms are either made of linen or woven fabrics.

We continue to promote the use of glass bottles in Vida Bahrain and since inception, we have been able to serve over 30,000 glass bottled water for our guests, which is equivalent to saving approximately over 500kg worth of plastic bottles.
  • Our guests are offered an environmental opt-in option in the room for not changing linens daily.
  • We source sustainable food and beverage take away items and packaging that are non-plastic and made from organic materials. For example, the straws are made from plants, takeaway cutleries are made from composed wood while takeaway packaging are made from PLA.
  • We have partnered with a leading waste management company in Bahrain focusing on protecting the environment, which manages our waste, collecting all types of recyclable materials and ensures all items are properly segregated. After segregation, the baled materials and plastics are transported to Asian countries for recycling.
